ABOUT THE PRAMAC E3200
The Pramac E3200 is a compact single-phase petrol generator designed for professional, construction and temporary-power applications.
Its Honda GX160 engine provides dependable performance and straightforward recoil starting. The generator delivers up to 2.9kVA of maximum output, with a continuous rating of approximately 2.5kVA.
Two 16A 240V outlets allow compatible equipment to be connected, provided the generator’s combined output and the individual socket ratings are not exceeded.
The protective tubular frame and 38 kg weight make the generator comparatively easy to handle, position and transport between work areas.
FAQs
What equipment can the generator power?
It can operate compatible 240V tools, work lights and other equipment within its output capacity. Tell us exactly what you intend to connect and we can help assess suitability.
What is the difference between maximum and continuous output?
The 2.9kVA figure is the maximum short-term output. Equipment operating for prolonged periods should remain within the lower 2.5kVA continuous rating.
Can I run several tools simultaneously?
Potentially, provided their combined running and starting requirements remain within the generator’s capacity. Equipment with electric motors may draw significantly more power when starting.
Does it provide 110V power?
No. This model is configured for 230–240V output. A different generator should be selected if you require a dedicated 110V site supply.
What sockets does it have?
The hire model is fitted with two industrial 16A 240V outlets. Equipment with a domestic 13A plug will require a suitable approved connection arrangement.
Is it suitable for sensitive electronics?
Do not connect computers, televisions, electronic controls or other sensitive equipment without confirming that the generator’s output characteristics are suitable. An inverter generator may be a better choice.
NEED HELP CHOOSING?
Our team is here to help you find the right machine for your project.
How long will it run on one tank?
The approximate runtime is up to 3.5 hours at around 75% load. Actual runtime varies according to the connected load, operating conditions and fuel level.
Do I need to provide the petrol?
Fuel arrangements will be confirmed when booking. Use only the correct fresh unleaded petrol and refuel with the engine switched off and allowed to cool.
Can it be used indoors?
No. Petrol generators produce dangerous exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide. It must only be operated outdoors in an open, well-ventilated location away from doors, windows and air intakes.
Can I connect it directly to a building?
No. It must never be connected directly to fixed building wiring or used to back-feed a property. Any connection to an electrical installation requires a suitably qualified electrician and approved changeover equipment.
Can you deliver the generator to site?
Yes. Build Compound provides local delivery across Yorkshire, subject to location and availability.
What should I do if the generator stops working?
Switch off and disconnect the attached equipment before contacting Build Compound. Do not dismantle or attempt to repair the generator yourself.
